In need of child care during the summer months? Minneapolis Kids provides high-quality child care with enriching experiences encouraging youth to pursue interest, build friendships, and develop leadership skills, independence and confidence. 

Super Summer

registration opens on Sunday, February 22 at 5 pm

Explore your interests and discover something new with Super Summer. Each Super Summer program is unique, providing you with the opportunity to customize a schedule to meet your needs. Whether you are looking for a week-long enrichment class that fits into your busy schedule, a full-day summer-long camp or something in between, we've got an option for you.

Freedom Schools

Registration opens on Sunday, February 22 at 5 pm 

Through the Children's Defense Fund (CDF) Freedom Schools model, we empower youth to excel and believe in their ability to make a difference in themselves, their families, communities, country, and world with hope, education, and action.

CDF Freedom Schools provide scholars with culturally relevant instruction and high-quality books to help them develop a love of reading and avoid summer learning loss.

Summer-long Camps

registration opens on Sunday, February 22 at 5 pm 

Full-day summer-long camps that feature culturally-specific enrichment, academic & active learning opportunities to help build a strong sense of community. Featured programs are: American Indian Scholars, Common Ground Nature Camp (Dowling), Líderes Bilingües (Bilingual Leaders) or Natural Leaders.

Summer Scholars

This isn’t just summer school. Summer Scholars is an innovative, immersive summer experience that challenges your child to explore a world of possibilities both in and out of the classroom. Extended Day programming where students will have the opportunity to continue their learning through a variety of daily enrichment activities may be available to select Summer Scholars sites.
