Non-School Days

• Pre-kindergarten students must be enrolled in Minneapolis Public Schools High Five or Minneapolis Kids Jrs. to be eligible for non-school-day care. 
• Children in grades K-5 do not need to attend Minneapolis Public Schools to be eligible for non-school-day care.   
• Before/after-school care is not required in order to register for non-school days. Non-school Day-only contracts are also available when registration is open.

Registration

• All care is registered online via Arux: mplscommunityed.com.
• Families with approved school-year contracts (before/after-school care, Minneapolis Kids Jr) will register for non-school days from within their contracts in Arux.
• Families without approved school-year contracts (including pending/waitlisted families) will register for non-school-day-only contracts in Arux.
• Children must be registered by the deadlines listed in the calendar above. Registrations will only be accepted after the deadline if space and staffing allow. Late registrations will be billed at the drop-in rate. 

Cancellations

• Cancel pending/waitlisted non-school days: Cancel in Arux using the Remove button. Can't find your non-school days in your Arux account? Open this help article, scroll down to the Viewing Registered Non-School Days section, and follow the three steps listed. 
• Cancel approved non-school days: Email the Minneapolis Kids central office (mpls.kids@mpls.k12.mn.us) to cancel approved non-school days. All cancellation requests must be received by 11:59 p.m. CST on the day of the deadline. See the calendar above for cancellation deadlines. 
• Families are unable to remove non-school days after the cancellation deadline and will still be billed for their registered days.

• Afternoon snack is provided, but families must pack a lunch unless otherwise noted.
• A signed permission slip is required for each community trip.
• No transportation, school health office, culinary, or classroom support services are provided on non-school days.
