Safe Schools and Strong Communities

Minneapolis Community Education is launching a series of free classes led by community experts. Safe Schools & Strong Communities is dedicated to promoting safety, healing, and wellbeing in our schools and neighborhoods.

Initially built to address the tragedy that the Minneapolis community experienced this past August with the horrific mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School, this series can also apply to the broader atmosphere of fear currently gripping our city.

These classes aim to provide a safe space for neighbors to find support and reclaim a sense of security in their daily lives. Classes range from trauma-responsive coping skills to navigating digital safety and bullying.
