MPS Community Education unveils updated mission, vision, commitment and values statements

MPS Community Education has introduced an updated mission, vision, commitment and values statements. The announcement marks the completion of a collaborative process that began in Spring 2025 and included input from Community Education programs. The update followed the integration of ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education), Screening and Teen Parent Services (TPS) into Community Education, prompting the need for statements that better reflect the full spectrum of services provided.

“We've updated the mission, vision, and commitment statements to be fully inclusive of our new program areas”, said Aviva Hillenbrand, Executive Director of MPS Community Education. “Our new statements do a better job of highlighting the strategic alignment between Community Education's work and the overall goals of Minneapolis Public Schools.”
