Hairspray brought together an intergenerational cast of community members from across Minneapolis to celebrate rhythm, resilience, and representation.
Thanks to you, we packed the house for seven performances, including an ASL-interpreted show (made possible by the Fulton Neighborhood Association Small Grant Project) and a sold-out performance on closing day!
We are proud to celebrate diversity on and off the stage — just like Tracy Turnblad would want. From students to seniors, our amazing team included over 100 community members! Huge thanks to our cast, tech crew, pit orchestra, production team, volunteers, and Community Ed staff who brought the energy of Hairspray to life.
